This image is taken from the East Ridge of Mount Edith Cavell, a popular mountaineering route and grants a birds eye perspective of Cavell Lake and mountains to the north in the Tonquin Valley. Most of the rock on Cavell is gog quartzite, a very hard and durable stone which boasts splendid colors especially around sunrise.
